Boxing Day

A quiet day until 5pm when Helen's family plus Linda arrived. Followed by Katherine and her offspring. 10 of us for a light dinner but included wine, port and gin.

Crowded but to have everyone together was a highlight of the holidays. I think everyone received the presents that suited them. I was certainly very happy with mine, factual books, note books and a novel pen. Of course plenty of opportunity for photographs.

Guess Who and Operation- The old favorites are still going.

Christmas Day

Finlay was very exited as this day grew nearer. We called in to Helen's for a half an hour to see how he was coping with reality.

Later in the  day Katherine, Erin and Rhys can for Christmas dinner.

Kathie's Family Meal at Newmarket

Kathie's 40th Birthday celebrations have extended to a 2rd Day! We all went to Newmarket for a family meal. Afterwards it was back to Masonhill for more birthday cake and wine.

Kathie's 40th Birthday

Today's Kathie's 40th birthday and our 43rd Wedding Anniversary.

We started the day with Kathie at Lochside Hotel for lunch. Ayr was wet and windy but as we drove out of Cumnock snow covered the fields but driving conditions were fine. However the car park was interesting to drive into.

A very pleasant lunch.

I took the opportunity to snap the wintery scenes from the elevated restaurant veranda. Very overcast and freezing cold.

Later we had a small tea with presents, cake and candles.

Two necklaces

Morning in the Winter Sun.

Dropped the car off at the Honda garage. Had bacon and French toast in the Secret Garden followed by a very pleasant hour pressing the shutter.

Don't often see the sun low in the Eastern sky shining brightly down the River Doon.

Rhys's 13th Birthday

We all gathered this evening for Rhys's birthday.

Jean supplied  her usual delicious chocolate cake as requested by Rhys.

His present of a small electronic set of drums was particularly popular with us.
