Walking Group: Cycle Path/Rozelle Loop

 Another lovely Monday.

The houses at Doonfoot are creeping outward.

They are contrasted against the sight of The Belleisle Hotel.

Walking Group: Troon-Golf Course Loop

Change of day was essential. Beautiful walking morning, bright and clear.

Finlay's 7th Birthday

Finlay had an excitable evening. All the boys having a frantic Nerf gun fight.

Walking Group: Eglinton Country Park

 WET, WET, WET......

After a very overcast start, heavy rain fell for much of the walk.

It was still good exercise and, for a small group, a chance of a scone and coffee afterwards.

I managed one photo only.

Dalbeattie: General Photo

Dalbeattie Family Weekend

We had a beautiful weekend just out side Dalbeattie. We stayed in the house we had for Jean's 70th.

Really hot weather.

WG: Troon Beach

The weather forecast was all over the place. Could have been thunder and hail but reality was burning sunshine with very little wind.

The trek along the beach ended up way longer than usual as the sign for the public footpath over the golf course had been uprooted.  We had to double back before ending up practically in Prestwick. The plan was to walk inland to Fullerton Woods but the consensus was to head back to the car park for a picnic on the beach.

Grandkids Exam Celebration

Rhys and Erin did well in their exams. We had a get together to say well done.

Walking Group: Culzean Castle

Thankfully the dreadful weather during our first mile was the last of the day. One of our regular walks which provide good greenery.

As it was Culzean. The castle made a partial  appearance.

And finally.

The genetically modified prehistoric bat swept down to pluck the unexpected Tom from our midst. High above the trees it wheeled and with high pitched acoustic clicks it headed to Ailsa to enjoy it's lunchtime snack!!! Sadness over came the group but we cheered up once heading downhill towards the cars.

What further challenges will befall the intrepid group while deep in Ayrshire woodlands.
