Today was the Christmas night out at the Carrick Lodge with friends I worked with at Digital/Compaq/HP.
Socially it was an excellent night. Pity my photography did not match the occasion. Could have done with my faster lens.
The Carrick Lodge was overrun with ex-Digits. Another group had the old bar for their private party!

Two Days in Edinburgh
Jean and I are back from 2 nights in Edinburgh.
We saw two photographic exhibitions. One by Joshua Cooper head of Fine Art Photography at the Glasgow School. Really interesting photos, we enjoyed the viewing.
Took the bus to Leith based on a missed weekend in October which we had planned with friends and had to cancel. We were originally booked into Tom Kitchen's restaurant.
I had envisaged something like the docks at Liverpool but Leith is still a working port.
We passed on touring the Queen's Britannia.
Back in Edinburgh pre Christmas fun was in full swing in the Prince's Gardens.

Ann Pays a Visit
Ann has been on a visit for the last couple of days. Relaxing time walking and drinking coffee with good conversation. Katherine, Rhys and Erin came for dinner.
A brisk walk along the sea front in bright sunshine.
And today we were at Irvine.

Visit To York
We had a few days in York. Not quite our Wedding Anniversary but near enough.
We did the standard tourist activities.
Visiting the Minster.
Followed by a walk round the wall
The following day we went to the Railway Museum. Not that I'm keen on steam engines but big engineering is always a draw for me.
Jean found a seat from Grangetown.
