Visit to Darlo pre-Christmas

We had not been to Darlington since August before Jean was ill. Helen, Andrew and the boys would next be visiting for our Ruby Wedding celebrations in January. So we took a quick visit this week.

Christmas decoration were being put up.

Finlay just played with the boxes and in the afternoon we got some fresh air and a coffee.

Katherine's Birthday and an Intro to Our Ruby Anniversary

We started the day with a brunch for everyone. Bacon, wee winkies, eggs, pancakes, fruit and croissants.

The celebrations for our Ruby Wedding will take place in January with the larger family but Jean and I exchanged cards. Since Katherine was born this date has been her day.

You will have to ask Katherine why everyone is busting with laughter..... safe to say it's nicely rude.

Even though the weather was not great Rhys could not help but try out his birthday present in the back garden

At 7 we were at the Carrick Lodge for a birthday meal for Katherine.
