For Jean and Me Also a Special Date

Today Jean and I have been married for 41 years. All those special years and we can look back to two wonderful daughters who have brought us four grandchildren who we are very proud of.

Not forgetting Andrew - my chance to have "man talks". A nice change from Take That, shoes and handbags.

Katherine's Birthday

Jean, Katherine, Erin, Rhys and I were at the Carrick Lodge on Sunday (again for me this weekend) for Katherine's birthday.

Today, Katherine's actual birthday, Jean and Rhys were not in the best of health so a low key event. Katherine looked pleased with her presents.

Rhys's 11th Birthday

All 9 of us were together for most of the weekend. Helen, Andrew and the boys fought stormy weather to get across the Pennines and on to Ayr.

Rhys and Ethan were on their scooters at TWO skate parks, in Ayr and East Kilbride. Plus a session at Airspace.

Durham Lumiere

Picked a dryish night for our visit to Durham. Not up to the standard of last year. Some items were not being shown because of the winds and swollen river. There were less works on display and they were not as interesting.

The projection on the cathedral was impressive although Jean was not so enthusiastic.
