Walking Group: Greenan/Cycle Path Loop

A mass turn out today. Filled up the front of The Secret Garden for scones and coffee. Didn't have time to to chat with everyone. Pleasant day for a 5 miler.

"Onward Christian Soldiers -Marching as to War!"

Another tale from Tom

And Captain said to me "As you are a true Scotsman under that kilt, come and join me on the top table for a wee dram"

Not a great photo but wanted to show the unstoppable march of Doonfoot.

Walking Group: Dumfries House to Barony A Frame

Due to the heavy rain over the last few days we kept to solid pathways. Walking through the grounds of the house to the Barony A Frame. A first for me.

Tom as always helps out with a well placed head!

Finlay

The weather took a menacing turn as school ended today. We all were soaking before the school gates exit.

Finlay didn't have spare clothes so he had a pair of my running shorts on. Held up with a clothes peg. Accompanied by my old thick, red walking socks.

Walking Group: Prestwick to Troon

The wind was fierce but onto our backs. The light was bright with the contrast of heavy cloud. We tried a new venue for our coffee break once in Troon. Ian and Robert had the stamina to fight their way back to Prestwick while the rest of us drove.

As I waited for Tom in the carpark at Troon a couple started to setup the gear for a para-boarding session. The wind was blowing a good gale. I was wrapped up but feeling chilled.  They took to the water un-deterred.

Glasgow 10K

Helen and I ran together to complete our second Glasgow event. Great effort from Helen given minimum training.

We were a whisker outside our planned time.

Walking Group: River Ayr Loop

Light drizzle marred the first mile but the day opened out to be warm and humid.

The slight detour to Bhaile was successful with blockbuster scones and excellent coffee.

Lost count of the number of times I've walked sections of this route. New photo opportunities are difficult to find. The image below was from the Horizon Hotel car park prior to departure.
